In 2022, Tamer Group, the family-run Saudi healthcare and wellness company celebrates its 100th year. The Group has marked its centenary with a series of events and is also using the milestone to unveil new corporate branding, as part of a broader Corporate Transformation, driven by ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) goals. 

For the new corporate identity, Tamer Group has chosen to return to a green colour palette, in a modern interpretation of the company’s original colours dating from the founding of the Company in 1922. Tamer is also inaugurating a new corporate slogan: “Transforming Society for Better Health”, which signals the company’s commitment to the broader Saudi community and a desire to provide healthcare, pharmaceuticals and health services that generate a deep and positive impact on society. 

The new green colourway echoes the colours of the national flag of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as being a colour associated with health, energy, prosperity and healthcare, making it the ideal corporate livery for Tamer today. 

More importantly, green is strongly associated with environmental ideals, and the new green logo echoes Tamer Group’s ESG commitments and the Company’s mission and business model as it looks forward to the next 100 years. 

A pivotal part of Tamer Group’s Corporate Transformation are the company’s strategic ESG goals. The Group is working on a three-year ESG implementation roadmap, aligning its business strategy with the sustainability agenda of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and acting as a responsible corporate citizen that contributes to the country’s Net Zero commitment by 2060.

The Group’s ESG roadmap is guided by the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) International Business Council’s (IBC) Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics (SCM). Tamer’s approach is also aligned with the United Nations (UN’s) Sustainable Development Goals to positively contribute to local communities and society at large. 

As part of the ESG programme, Tamer Group is living by core values that include empowering women, promoting diversity, advancing employees and nourishing the local community. In this regard, Tamer Group’s philanthropic arm, SA’AID, establishes sustainable projects in the fields of female empowerment, health education, community development, workplace wellness, underprivileged families and environmental conservation. 

Strong Corporate Governance provides Tamer Group with the necessary foundation for this transformational ESG journey. Experienced professionals in key management positions are empowered to run the day-to-day operations of the business. The Oversight Board comprises independent Board Advisors who, together with the Tamer family members, oversee and steer the strategy and governance agenda of the business. 

Within this corporate rebrand, the Tamer logo remains the same, displaying two “t’s”, one from the Arabic alphabet and one from the Latin alphabet, to perfectly symbolise the conjoining of the Eastern and Western business worlds. The new green livery will be used by Farouk Maamoun Tamer Industries Co. (FMTI - Tamer Holding) owned buildings, websites, stationery, business cards and other owned applications.
